About the Role

A Chef at American Dining Creations plays a pivotal role in creating exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining a professional atmosphere suited to business dining. This position demands culinary artistry combined with effective kitchen management skills to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute menus: Breakfast, Lunch, Catering, Special Events, Concessions; modify based on food trends, costs, patron requests, and seasonal availability.
  • Weekly inventory, knowledge of online purchasing, cost control, and catering systems.
  • Minimize food waste through effective planning and storage techniques.
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the kitchen environment.
  • Hiring employees, staff development, managing work schedules, and labor costs.
  • Superior customer service skills are required; will interact daily with our guests and clients.
  • May assist with special corporate projects or events.
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Culinary Degree from an accredited university, college, or culinary association preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar culinary position in Retail, Education, Business Dining, Sports Arena, or Hotel industry.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office; Catering systems experience preferred.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and enthusiastically in a fast-paced environment, high-volume service, and enjoy daily customer contact.
  • Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to travel if needed to assist with company events and needs.
