Cheese Packing Operator

About the role

In accordance with SOP’s, stage, weigh and prepare products. Actively monitor pasteurization process and record data, ensuring accurate chart record controls in accordance with Company, state and federal regulatory requirements. Perform all required analytical testing. Report any product deviations to the department supervisor. Follow all allergen protocols.

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in detail without deviation.
• Operate tanks, pumps and operations equipment.
• Perform and document equipment clean-up, CIP/SIP operations, tanks, lines and equipment.
• Perform routine equipment adjustments.
• Safe operation of a lift truck.
• Accurately and neatly complete records, system data entry and documentation.
• Perform all department environmental controls.
• Perform product reclaim and rework operations in accordance with reclaim guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Minimum of (2)-two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing, dairy food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications is a plus, but not required.
• Strong math skills.
• Proficient computer skills, software and data entry, SAP a plus.
• Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Truck).
• Strong technical and math skills.
• Ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, in English.
• Demonstrated work history.

• Physical Requirements: Frequently required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

Start Pay $19.21 - Additional Night Shift Differential $2 12 Hour Shifts
