Responsibilities

• Operate and clean each machine or process efficiently.
• Maintain product quality and ensure proper packaging.
• Set up packaging coders and validate product codes per specifications.
• Identify and report out-of-spec product conditions following notification protocols.
• Perform routine equipment adjustments using hand tools.
• Safely operate a lift truck to move materials as needed.
• Accurately complete production records and documentation.
• Collaborate with other operators to ensure maximum line efficiency.
• Perform changeovers, CIP, adjustments, and minor repairs as needed.
• Maintain quality and efficiency while following all safety and GMP guidelines.
• Perform housekeeping duties within established standards.
• Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics, Company Values, and Workplace Climate Policy.
• Work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: Experience in food manufacturing, warehousing, or dairy production.
• Strong math and computer skills (SAP experience is a plus).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

Physical Demands

• Work in environments with noise, temperature changes (hot, cold, wet, humid), and around manufacturing equipment.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and stair climbing.
• Manual dexterity, gripping, squeezing, and fine manipulation.
• Visual acuity and ability to distinguish colors.
• Work with chemicals using PPE and approved handling procedures.
