About the role
The position involves assisting in the organization and execution of cheerleading activities within the Immokalee HighSchool during the fall season.
Responsibilities
- Support the lead cheerleading coach in planning and executing cheerleading routines.
- Assist in the supervision and development of cheerleaders.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during practices and competitions.
- Collaborate with other school staff and community partners as needed.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
- One reference letter (does not apply to current CCPS staff).
- Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required.
- Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).
Qualifications
- Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification.
- Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certification.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work well with children and adults.
- Knowledge of cheerleading techniques and safety standards.
