Responsibilities
- Set up area for daily production.
- Make boxes, fill, and drain according to specifications.
- Prepare boxes and place into vacuum chamber.
- Operate vacuum chambers and record information according to specifications.
- Pull boxes from vacuum chambers and hang on the rail for the specified time, then move to the seal line for final sealing.
- Prepare box cards for sealed boxes per make (recipe), and place box of cheese into the pre-cooler.
- Assist all Cheddar employees as needed.
- Clean-up entire 640 room after daily production and prepare supplies for the next day.
- Keep area clean and organized at all times.
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safety Protocol
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No experience necessary; in-house training provided.
- Lift Truck License required: in-house training provided. (Not applicable for employees under age 18.)
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Follow one- or two-step verbal instructions; read and follow written instructions; perform routine and repetitive tasks and carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or verbal instructions.
- Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
Pay
Starting rate: $24.73
Shift Differential: $1.50
Two pay increases within a year, up to $1.00
Double time pay on Sunday
