Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
- Escorts customers to products, secures items, loads/unloads heavy items, and passes along customer suggestions or requests.
- Answers the telephone and provides friendly, helpful service.
- Operates cash register accurately, scans product, and handles various transactions.
- Stocks, faces, rotates merchandise, cleans shelves, and maintains cleanliness of the work area.
- Communicates clearly and distinctly on the intercom or telephone system.
- Perceives immediate surroundings for customer needs and problems, ensuring store safety and security.
- Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.

Qualifications
No formal education or experience is required. Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages. Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
