Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
• Escorts customers to products, secures items, loads/unloads heavy items, and passes along customer suggestions or requests.
• Answers the telephone and provides friendly, helpful service.
• Operates cash register accurately, scans product, and handles various transactions.
• Stocks, faces, rotates merchandise, cleans shelves, and maintains cleanliness of the work area.
• Communicates clearly and distinctly on the intercom or telephone system.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

Requirements

• Carries out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
• Understands and follows verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Writes identifying information.
• Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures.
• Adheres to company policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

• No formal education or experience required.
• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
• Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to perform visual tasks including vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

Skills

• Arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Understanding and following verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Writing identifying information.
