Check-In Patient Service Rep - University Cancer Specialists

About the role

University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Patient Service Representative (PSR) for University Cancer Specialists, located at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly and timely manner
• Ensure patients complete necessary forms required for the electronic health record and billing office
• Maintain patient demographic and insurance information; verify insurance eligibility and collect co‑pays
• Ensure good patient flow through practice by timely processing of patients as they arrive at the front office
• Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration information or billing questions
• Refer patient inquiries regarding medical care or treatment to a medical assistant or physician
• Schedule patients with the appropriate physician
• Document scanning into the electronic health record
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 6‑months previous medical office experience
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization
