About the Role
As a Check In and Inventory Specialist at Suddath, you will focus primarily on end-of-day check-in with independent contractors and inventory control processes as assigned by warehouse management. You will work closely with independent contractors and the warehouse manager to ensure accuracy, compliance, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Complete end-of-day audit of independent contractors’ paperwork and returns, verifying delivery tickets for signatures, compliance, appropriate service codes, notations, and delivery exceptions.
- Verify haul-away appliance count and ensure it matches daily inventory logs.
- Tag and put away returned appliances in the appropriate warehouse location.
- Assist in maintaining a clean facility and keeping floors free of debris.
- Follow and enforce local security practices to deter theft.
- Check in independent contractors’ previous day’s routes and delivery tickets, along with inventory logs.
- Support day-to-day tasks as assigned by the warehouse manager.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in warehouse or inventory control positions.
- Valid driver’s license.

- Ability to operate warehouse equipment and perform data entry and typing functions.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment; exposure to varying weather elements may occur.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for long periods.
- Occasional lifting and stacking of items up to 30 pounds above head, and lifting and carrying items up to 65 pounds to chest height for distances up to 50 feet.
- Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 100 pounds to a height of 10 inches.
- May require climbing ladders and stair ramps.
- Requires clear speech for communication and the ability to see details of objects within close range.
