Charter Sales Manager
About the role
One of our clients is seeking an experienced Charter Sales Manager to drive revenue through wholesale and retail aircraft charter sales. This role is ideal for a sales professional with an established network of charter operators, brokers, and aviation clients.
The Charter Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and closing charter opportunities, managing client relationships, coordinating with flight operations teams, and supporting the successful execution of contracted charter trips.
Responsibilities
- Drive wholesale and retail aircraft charter sales and generate new revenue opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with aircraft operators, charter brokers, clients, vendors, and aircraft owners.
- Analyze aircraft schedules and fleet availability to identify utilization opportunities and promote available/open-leg flights.
- Respond promptly to charter quote requests for Part 135 flights operated on executive and business aircraft.
- Develop, issue, and manage charter contracts and coordinate payments and financial reconciliation.
- Capture and document client service requirements and coordinate with Operations Control Center and Flight Operations teams.
- Coordinate contracted charter trips with clients, operators, brokers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Maintain effective day-of-operation communication with clients, including outside standard business hours when required.
- Develop a strong understanding of factors affecting charter pricing, including seasonality, competition, demand, aircraft capabilities, operating costs, and sales channels.
- Monitor private aviation and charter industry trends to identify new business opportunities and support sales and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other teams to improve charter sales performance and customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records and activity updates in aviation management and CRM systems such as Avianis, TripGrade, and HubSpot.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience in wholesale aircraft charter sales and/or charter sales operations.
- Proven track record of developing and closing charter sales opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to build and grow a strong book of business.
- Established relationships with aircraft operators, charter brokers, or aviation industry partners.
- Strong understanding of Part 135 charter operations and executive/business aircraft.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Skills
- Experience with Avianis, FOS, TripGrade, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
- Knowledge of aircraft scheduling, fleet utilization, charter pricing, and trip coordination.
- Experience working with aircraft owners, charter operators, brokers, and aviation vendors.
- Knowledge of the U.S. private aviation and business aviation market.
- Experience with wholesale charter sales and broker-driven charter business.
Schedule & Travel
Full-time position with five 8-hour shifts. Schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays based on business requirements. Some client communications may be required outside normal business hours. Travel of up to 10% may be required.
