About the role
The Social Media Content Creation Intern will work closely with the Creative Services and Marketing teams to capture engaging visual content on game days and beyond. This role will assist in producing short-form social-first video content and promotional materials used throughout the season. From game nights and practices to digital campaigns and special promotions, this internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in sports marketing and content creation.
Responsibilities
- Producing and editing short-form social-first videos to promote theme night games and build a connection between fans and the team
- Capturing photo and vertical video content during home games, practices, community events, and team functions
- Assisting with live game coverage on X and Instagram for home and away games
- Supporting content planning and execution across digital platforms
- Organizing and maintaining digital media assets
- Collaborating with staff to ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Video Production, or a related field
- Housing and transportation in Charlotte or surrounding area
- Availability to work home games, select road games, and designated office hours
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent creative software
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality creative standards
- Personal camera equipment and/or laptop preferred but not required
Qualifications
- Experience in social media, photography, video production, or digital media
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content trends with an emphasis on TikTok and Instagram Reels
- A portfolio demonstrating creative work in video editing, photography, or related content
- Proficiency in CapCut and/or Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro and/or After Effects
- Excellent attention to detail and creative storytelling abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate as part of a team
Pay
This is a non-paid internship. School credit may be earned if applicable.
