Charleston Route Sales Driver

About the role

Drive a company vehicle on an established route or territory, delivering products to various locations. You’ll load the truck daily, stock product to par levels, and maintain accurate documentation via software. Report sales, waste, customer concerns, and vehicle maintenance needs promptly.

Responsibilities

• Load product onto the truck each day.
• Stock product to par levels and document inventory via appropriate software.
• Report daily sales, waste, customer concerns, and machine malfunctions.
• Notify management immediately of any necessary vehicle maintenance or repairs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and service upkeep.
• Adhere to all driving regulations and company safety policies.
• Demonstrate a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet business commitments.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a DOT license.
• Previous driving experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• No preventable fatal accidents while operating a CMV in a lifetime.
• No suspension of driving privileges for moving violations in the past 3 years.

Physical Demands

• Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking/standing.
• May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
