About the role

The Charge Registered Nurse utilizes theoretical concepts to make decisions in practice, focusing on assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to established standards.

Responsibilities

• Achieve patient safety and quality outcomes through effective nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and education.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an associate's degree, diploma, or BSN.
• Maintain a valid RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Hold a Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• One or more of the following certifications may be required based on the position/unit: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, and other unit-specific certifications.
• Meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, prolonged standing and walking during shifts, and performing duties that require gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
