About the role

The Charge Nurse oversees departmental operations, providing leadership, mentorship, and support to direct patient care staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care delivery by assessing staffing needs and assigning patients appropriately.
• Ensure timely and high-quality care, aligning care plans with bedside nurses.
• Set professional conduct expectations and serve as a resource for the unit.
• Hold team members accountable for responsibilities and regulatory compliance in line with organizational standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong leadership and clinical expertise in cardiac and medical-surgical care.
• Ability to manage complex patient needs such as heart failure, respiratory issues, and other multisystem conditions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
