About the role

Join our team as a night shift, full-time ICU Charge Nurse in Albuquerque, NM. Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), bariatric, and orthopedic service lines.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of patients and staff in the assigned area.
• Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies, and other operational functions.
• Collaborates with unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers, and staff.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Requirements

• Minimum: Associate’s Degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• CPR certification.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: National Certification in clinical specialty care.
