About the role

Riverstreet Manor is a newly transformed facility offering a dynamic work environment that supports staff's life goals. The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) serves as the Shift Supervisor under the Director of Nursing, responsible for supervising the skilled nursing facility during their scheduled shift, ensuring quality patient care, and managing administrative and professional policies.

Schedule

  • Full Time: 3p–11p, Monday–Friday
  • Part Time: 11p–7a

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the skilled nursing facility during scheduled shift, ensuring compliance with administrative and professional policies
  • Delegate responsibilities to staff, ensuring tasks align with their practice and abilities
  • Assess and address the physical and nursing needs of residents
  • Direct and ensure appropriate nursing actions in crisis situations
  • Investigate incidents and accidents
  • Adjust staffing levels to maintain adequate coverage on each unit
  • Perform all duties and functions of a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development across the lifespan to provide age-appropriate care (adult through geriatric)
  • Conduct rounds throughout the facility during scheduled tour of duty

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered, active RN license in this state
  • Knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents served
  • Ability to act as a supportive team member and exemplify teamwork
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, and regulations pertaining to nursing care facilities
  • Leadership and supervisory ability, with a willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
  • Ability to relay information concerning a resident’s condition
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical/drug screen
