Charge Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

About the role

Provides leadership and coordination on a Cardiac Med Surg unit, overseeing staffing, patient care, and clinical objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing/support staff during shifts.
• Assesses patient care needs, develops care assignments, and ensures quality outcomes.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers and evaluates patient care effectiveness.
• Responds to care-related complaints and assists in staff hiring, training, and evaluation.
• Maintains safety and performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• Valid BLS certification and RN licensure in applicable states.

Skills

• Strong communication, assessment, and leadership skills.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform patient care tasks.
