Charge Registered Nurse

About the role

As a Charge RN, you'll provide patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while serving as a clinical resource for nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient assessments, triage, treatment planning, and ongoing evaluation of care
• Administering medications, IV therapy, treatments, diagnostic testing, and other nursing interventions
• Supervising and guiding nursing personnel while promoting teamwork and effective communication
• Collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and correctional personnel to coordinate care
• Aiding with examinations, minor procedures, patient education, referrals, and continuity of care
• Maintaining accurate electronic medical records and supporting quality assurance, chart audits, and infection control standards

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• One to two years of clinical or supervisory experience preferred
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred

• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
