Schedule

  • 3×12-hour shifts per week
  • Every Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • One weekday shift 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Pay

$35.50 – $53.25 per hour

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Two years of acute care nursing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the applicable state

Responsibilities

  • Provides primary leadership in coordinating nursing care with other healthcare disciplines and facilitates integration of services across the continuum of care
  • Collaborates with PLAC and the rapid response team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement when necessary
  • Develops collegial relationships and communicates information effectively to encourage communication and serve as a resource to staff and other departments
  • Promotes a culture of safety for patients, self, co-workers, and facility in conjunction with the Nurse Manager and/or RN Clinic Manager and other leadership team members
  • Facilitates the Care Delivery Model by monitoring quality/safety outcomes and implementing performance improvement measures for identified metrics
  • Ensures compliance with organizational and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Ensures care is delivered with respect for patients’ rights and preferences; maintains privacy, confidentiality, and security for patients and staff
  • Facilitates resolution of conflicts, collaborates with Service Excellence to promote service recovery, and empowers staff in decision-making through shared governance
  • Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and/or RN Clinic Manager and other leadership team members to monitor staffing and supplies, ensuring nursing workload is measured and resources are allocated based on patient needs and visit volumes
  • Facilitates and monitors appropriate utilization of staff based on credentialing, scope of practice, education, and experience
  • Ensures a biogenic environment that stimulates ongoing professional development of staff in accordance with Shared Governance, Theory of Human Caring, and professional practice
  • Develops and fosters relationships that support continuous enhancement of care delivery and patient and staff satisfaction through a professional practice environment of mutual respect
  • Demonstrates value for professional nursing practice, including utilization of current standards, the nursing process, and patient advocacy
  • Takes responsibility for continuing education, developing best practices, and maintaining the highest level of patient care and staff development in collaboration with the Nurse Manager and/or RN Clinic Manager and other leadership team members
  • Ensures/provides appropriate patient care in accordance with the specific patient population; demonstrates and utilizes knowledge of the needs of the patient population specific to the defined clinical area
  • Maintains competency related to patient population and identifies strategies to meet related needs
