Responsibilities

  • Monitor quality of care, documentation, and compliance
  • Implement immediate care plan changes for patient safety
  • Conduct patient and family rounding to improve experience
  • Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff
  • Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain staffing ratios
  • Support unit operations, communicate safety concerns
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and assignments
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff; assist with performance management
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are adequate and functional
  • Cover admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Oversee nursing staff and patient care during shifts

Qualifications

  • Valid RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of one year staff nurse experience in acute care, with CCU experience required
  • At least one year supervisory experience in a hospital setting
  • Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certification within 6 months of hire
