Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. The hospital is nationally recognized for patient safety.

The Charge Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame, provides direct care via the nursing process, manages the environment and instrumentation, and supervises other health care team members. The Charge Nurse also performs the duties of a Staff Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process
• Manage the environment and instrumentation
• Supervise and coordinate other health care team members
• Perform all duties of a Staff Nurse

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current Oklahoma license as a Registered Nurse
• Two to five years of clinical experience (preferably in the area of application)
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to providing direct patient care
• Maintain ACLS certification (experienced new hires have 90 days to obtain ACLS)
• NIHSS certification obtained within 90 days of hire

Qualifications

• Experience in patient care management (preferred)
