Your Role as the Charge Nurse (RN) Skilled Nursing Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership and exceptional resident care within our skilled nursing community. In this role, you’ll oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism, compassion, and compliance with state, federal, and Americare standards. You’ll serve as a key clinical resource, supporting care delivery and fostering a safe, respectful environment. Summary The Charge Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing clinical oversight and supervision of nursing care during assigned shifts to ensure quality outcomes and regulatory compliance. This role guides nursing staff, administers medications and treatments, completes resident assessments, and serves as a central communicator between residents, families, providers, and leadership. This Role May Also Be Known As Charge Nurse (RN), RN Supervisor, Floor Nurse (RN), Shift Supervisor (RN), or Registered Nurse – Charge Role. What You’ll Do Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shiftsEnsure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and proceduresSupervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAsComplete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentationCommunicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadershipAdminister medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocolsConduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being metAddress, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglectEnsure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadershipCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safetyUphold Americare’s mission, vision, values, and company policies What You Bring Licensure / Certification Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required Experience & Skills Strong clinical judgment and leadership skillsFamiliarity with state and federal nursing regulationsExperience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred Commitment Passion for resident-centered care and team collaborationAlignment with Americare’s Mission, Vision, Home Town Hospitality®, and F.A.M.I.L.Y.
