About the role
The Charge Nurse position is available in the hospital-based outpatient department at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. The department provides services such as non-oncology infusion, injections, dressing or central line changes, and physician follow-ups.
Responsibilities
- Delivers competent care by integrating theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families.
- Provides professional nursing care within clinical areas/campuses as required by staffing matrices.
- Supervises and directs delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised.
Requirements
- A minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing is required, with a Bachelor’s Degree being preferred.
- A Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
- A valid American Heart (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain one during orientation is required.
- Previous experience with IV medications and IV starts is a plus.
