Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing staff
- Participate in hiring, evaluations, counseling, and disciplinary actions
- Manage staffing levels using patient classification systems and ensure optimal resource utilization
- Address patient, visitor, staff, and physician concerns promptly and professionally
- Support hospital programs including risk management, safety, and infection control
- Aid in policy reviews, staff development, and unit-based quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership to meet departmental goals and strategic plans
- Maintain regulatory compliance and current clinical expertise
- Foster effective teamwork, communication, and positive relationships across departments
Qualifications & Skills
- Current California RN license and Associates Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- American Heart Association BLS certification (current)
- Preferred: BSN or in progress, previous management experience
