About the role
We are seeking an experienced Neurology Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee clinical operations in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Managing daily shift activities in the Neuro department, ensuring quality patient care and staff coordination.
- Leading human resource functions such as hiring, evaluating, counseling, and disciplining staff.
- Participating in staff development, cross-training, and performance evaluations.
- Promoting efficient staffing practices based on patient acuity and data analysis.
- Supporting hospital programs including risk management, safety, and infection control.
- Facilitating interdepartmental collaboration, problem-solving, and policy review.
- Assisting in budget management, cost savings, and strategic planning aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and keeping current in clinical knowledge.
- Communicating effectively with staff, patients, families, and medical teams to ensure optimal care.
Qualifications
- Current California RN License and Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred
- BSN or in progress.
