Charge Nurse (RN) - Neurology

Position Overview: The role involves coordinating departmental functions within a neurology clinic unit, including staffing, scheduling, and overseeing patient care. The Charge Nurse acts as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering effective communication. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care following established standards.Supervise and delegate tasks to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs based on patient needs and staff competencies.Manage daily staffing, assist with staff orientation, and ensure completion of competency assessments.Maintain excellent customer service by addressing staff and patient concerns and tracking performance metrics.Assist in managing departmental operations, including change implementation and budget considerations. Qualifications & Skills Registered Nurse license in the relevant state.Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in neurology or specialty areas.Effective interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills, especially under high-stress situations.Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, or specialty-specific training are preferred.Leadership experience or management certification is advantageous.
