Charge Nurse (RN/LPN)
Full-time opportunity with same-day pay available.
Pay
- LPN: $28-$33/hour (all inclusive)
- RN: $35-$40/hour (all inclusive)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
- Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Medication Aides, and other nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
- Coordinate daily clinical operations and prioritize resident care needs throughout the shift.
- Administer medications, treatments, and clinical interventions accurately and safely.
- Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and communicate significant findings to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to emergencies and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff during urgent situations.
- Promote a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents, visitors, and team members.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations while supporting quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current, active, and unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of Virginia.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, or healthcare setting preferred.
- Previous leadership or charge nurse experience preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise staff, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, state and federal regulations, infection prevention, and resident-centered care principles.
