Position Overview
This role is for an ICU - Intensive Care Unit Charge Nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating and delivering critical care to severely ill patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently care for patients on ventilators, titrate vasoactive medications, supervise unit activities, mentor staff, and lead daily operations and Rapid Response Team.
- Assist with staffing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes.
- Ensure availability of equipment and supplies, and maintain staffing levels to meet patient needs and budget goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid California RN License
- CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications
- At least 5 years of critical care experience preferred
- Leadership and management skills are advantageous
- Ability to practice independently, promote autonomy, and develop critical thinking skills in others
Additional Details
- Full-time, night shifts (1900-0730), with some weekends required
- Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates
- The role involves supervising staff, enhancing clinical operations, and participating in performance improvement initiatives
