CHARGE NURSE (RN) FULL TIME DAYS

About the role

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a Full Time Charge Nurse, RN for Days with ICU/Step-down experience. This position supervises patient care activities, communicates with physicians and staff, and fosters a positive hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs.
• Communicate with Physicians/CCO/staff, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Foster a positive milieu in the hospital.
• Keep CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk.
• Provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute care experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English. Must be able to articulate, interpret and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication.
• Addition languages desirable.
• Detailed computer knowledge.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
