Charge Nurse (RN) - Day Surgery

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Day Surgery Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee daily department operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with organizational and medical standards.

Responsibilities

• Managing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring efficient unit operations in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Assisting with recruitment, training, and performance reports.
• Mentoring staff, assessing competencies, and making patient care assignments.
• Maintaining clear communication with leadership regarding unit needs and incidents.
• Performing related duties to support department functions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of one year RN experience.
• Current RN licensure and applicable certifications such as BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NRP, with some required within specified periods.

Preferred education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
