Charge Nurse (RN)

About the Role

The Charge Nurse (RN) oversees nursing services during assigned shifts in a skilled nursing or senior living community, ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and guiding nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs
• Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Completing resident assessments and updating care plans
• Communicating resident condition changes to families, physicians, and leadership
• Ensuring compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures
• Addressing incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote safety and quality care
• Maintaining clinical documentation and ensuring availability of supplies
• Physical ability to assist residents and ensure a safe environment

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Strong clinical judgment and leadership abilities
• Knowledge of state and federal nursing regulations
• Experience in skilled nursing or senior care preferred
• Passion for resident-centered care and teamwork
