Charge Nurse (RN)
Your Role as a Charge Nurse
Provide quality nursing care in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Administer medications, treatments, and monitor residents’ conditions.
Communicate with physicians, healthcare team members, residents, and families to ensure continuity of care.
Accurately document care and resident status in the medical record.
Supervise nurse aides and medication aides, ensuring procedures and resident rights are upheld.
Assist residents with activities of daily living when needed.
Promote a safe, clean, calm, and supportive environment for residents and staff.
Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
Participate in in-service programs, educational opportunities, and team meetings.
Promote dignity, comfort, and well-being.
Requirements
- Current LPN or RN license in Ohio.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- CPR certification.
- One year of experience in healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Compassion, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
- Physical ability to perform nursing duties, including assisting and transferring residents as needed.
- Commitment to resident dignity, safety, and well-being.
