Charge Nurse (RN) - Acute Care Medicine

Role Summary: The Registered Nurse provides high-quality nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs within a collaborative team environment. They serve as a key communicator between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring patient advocacy and satisfaction. The nurse actively participates in performance improvement initiatives, maintains professional competencies, and supports shared governance through service on councils or activities. Key Responsibilities: Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions; assist in developing and executing care plans.Prioritize patient flow and deliver safe, effective care aligned with policies and procedures.Respond to patient concerns, provide education, and advocate for patient-centered care.Contribute to quality improvement efforts, process enhancements, and organizational goals.Maintain licensure, certifications, and engage in ongoing professional development.Mentor and support peers, fostering a positive work environment and upholding professional standards.Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards. Qualifications & Skills: Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Nursing.Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and demonstrate professionalism.Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and patient advocacy.
