Charge Nurse (RN) - Acute Care Medicine

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the care team.
• Monitor patient conditions, document assessments, and deliver care according to policies.
• Advocate for patients and families, addressing concerns and providing education.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support organizational goals.
• Mentor and foster growth among nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment.
• Maintain professional competence, licenses, and certifications, and stay current with industry best practices.
• Support shared governance and contribute to a culture of safety, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associates, Bachelors, or Masters in Nursing.
• Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; instructor certification preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
