Job Summary: Under minimal supervision the ACS Charge RN supervises the daily work of clinical personnel and expanded care team personnel in the ambulatory care environment. The registered nurse (RN) provides patient care and education in an outpatient setting to diverse patients, families, and community members throughout the lifespan, and the Charge Nurse serves an expert and resource in these skills to the rest of the ambulatory care clinic team. The Charge Nurse adheres to the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards of professional nursing and performance, and the ANA Code of Ethics (2015) to provide care to all patients. Applies critical thinking, evidence-based policies, procedures, guidelines and competence to collaborate with the health care team to promote excellence in patient safety and quality outcomes. Responsibilities
- Operations Management (50%): Supervises daily operations in the clinic by employing clinical and managerial skills to care for patients while also providing guidance and leadership to other nurses, medical assistants, health educators, and other care team staff who are working with patients including but not limited to preparing daily staffing assignments, mentoring staff,
