Charge Nurse - Operating Room

About the role

This Charge Nurse - RN Operating Room position offers full-time weekend shifts (days and evenings) with weekend premium pay.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, develop and update individualized care plans, and document all care activities thoroughly.
• Evaluates intervention effectiveness, incorporates patient and family education, and participates in quality improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma, associate degree in nursing (with a BSN required within five years for certain hires), at least one year of clinical nursing experience, and valid RN licensure in Kansas or Missouri.
• Must have BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
