About the role
Seeking a Med Surg Charge Nurse (RN) to lead nursing staff, ensure patient safety, and facilitate efficient patient flow.
Responsibilities
- Supervising staff, coordinating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, and providing direct clinical care
- Delegating assignments based on staff training and patient acuity, collaborating with medical providers to maintain high-quality care, and mentoring new staff
- Monitoring medical charts, administering medications safely, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining accurate records, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and managing resource allocation
- Fulfilling emergency protocols and hospital incident command system responsibilities during crises
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's or master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
- Current licensure or certification as mandated by law, including AHA BLS, and ACLS, PALS, or NRP if applicable
