About the Role

The Charge Nurse (LVN/RN) plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care within healthcare facilities across the United States. This position involves overseeing nursing staff during assigned shifts, coordinating patient care activities, and serving as a clinical resource to the team. The Charge Nurse is responsible for maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies while promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an acute care or long-term care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
• Ability to work on a PRN (as-needed) basis with flexible availability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a charge nurse or leadership role.
• Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Familiarity with quality improvement processes and patient safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities during assigned shifts to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement nursing care plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, facility policies, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
• Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Document nursing care and patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
