Charge Nurse - Labor & Delivery, Night Shift

Role: Coordinates and delivers high-quality nursing care across various specialties, serving as a resource and guiding staff during shifts. Responsibilities: Ensures safe, effective patient care from birth through the lifecycle, manages operational issues, communicates departmental concerns, and provides clinical support as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program, with at least 1 year hospital experience (2+ preferred). Must hold an active RN license, BCLS, and ACLS certifications. Additional specialty certifications (PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, PEARS, TNCC, ENPC) are required based on unit. Demonstrates effective communication, ethical practice, leadership, and ability to develop and evaluate care plans, employ evidence-based practices, and promote a safe, inclusive environment. Key Duties: Collects and analyzes patient data, develops individualized care plans, coordinates care delivery, promotes health and safety, evaluates progress, and collaborates with healthcare teams. Continual professional development and adherence to certification requirements are essential for optimal practice.
