About the role
Join the Emergency Department team as a Charge RN in a 16-bed unit providing urgent medical care for patients with a range of conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate shift assignments based on patient acuity and staff skills.
- Supervise and mentor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, offering clinical guidance and support.
- Oversee patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Serve as a clinical resource and assist with high-risk or emergency situations.
- Handle patient and family concerns promptly to ensure quality care.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least one year of clinical experience required.
- Current unrestricted RN license in South Carolina; BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Advanced certification in specialty fields and participation in professional organizations are preferred.
