About the role
This role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality nursing care across various patient populations, ensuring effective communication of patient status, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leadership. It serves as a resource and guidance for nursing staff, supporting clinical practices and operational needs during shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient data and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Coordinate care delivery to ensure safe, efficient, and fiscally responsible nursing services.
- Promote patient safety and health through evidence-based practices.
- Practice ethically and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including interdisciplinary teams, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership and support continuous learning among nursing staff.
- Adhere to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- At least one year of hospital-based nursing experience.
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Specialty certifications as required (e.g., chemotherapy, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS), and unit-specific credentials).
- Additional certifications and ongoing education within specified timeframes for specialized units (e.g., Emergency, Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Pediatrics, Surgical Services, Women's Services).
