Charge Nurse - CVICU, Days

About the role

This role involves coordinating the delivery of high-quality nursing care across various patient populations and managing operational issues during each shift. It requires providing clinical care as needed, communicating patient and departmental concerns to leadership, and serving as a resource and guide for staff.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans
• Leading care coordination and promoting a safe, ethical, and culturally inclusive environment
• Collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure quality outcomes
• Maintaining current knowledge through ongoing education, research, and evidence-based practices
• Ensuring compliance with certification requirements within designated timeframes based on specialty area

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least 1 year of hospital nursing experience; 2+ years preferred
• Current RN licensure with Georgia or multistate licensure
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, NRP, PEARS, and specialty-specific certifications as applicable
• Additional certifications may be required based on specialty area, such as ENPC, TNCC, or AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
