About the role
9 month fixed term/secondment Charge Nurse position within NHS Tayside’s Public Health Directorate, Central Vaccination Service, based in Dundee. The role involves leading and inspiring the vaccination delivery team, coordinating high‑volume clinics, outreach and care‑home services, and contributing to public health improvement across Tayside.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day‑to‑day clinic operations across Dundee
- Provide line management and staff support, promoting wellbeing and resilience
- Ensure safe staffing and high‑quality care delivery
- Support specialist services, including Out of Schedule and Travel Health clinics
- Drive clinical governance, patient safety, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Registered Nurse or Midwife with current UK NMC registration
- Strong commitment to leadership and service excellence
- Ability to travel independently throughout Tayside (occasional requirement to support adjacent areas)
