Charge Nurse/Assistant Nurse Manager

About the role

The Charge Nurse will assist in the clinical management of patients using accepted nursing practice, including diagnosis and treatment of human responses to health problems. They will provide care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being, and execute medical regimens prescribed by a physician.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the clinical management of patients
• Provide care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being
• Execute medical regimens prescribed by a physician
• Supervise professional nurses, aides, and clerical support staff
• Exercise supervision over these staff members, including practical training and staff development

Requirements

• Current license in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Certified in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
• Other certifications as required in a specialty area
• Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience
