About the role
LATESYS Canada, a subsidiary of Groupe ADF, is seeking a Senior Project Pre-Sales Manager to join our team in Brossard. This strategic role focuses on leading major bids, structuring responses with internal teams, and shaping our long-term pre-sales approach. You’ll remain hands-on with operations while driving growth and evolution in our pre-sales practices.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in bids and pre-sales activities:
- Analyze RFPs and client specifications to identify technical, commercial, and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with sales, technical, production, and quality teams to structure responses.
- Develop proposals, including project breakdown, costing, scheduling, risk assessment, and deliverables.
- Present and defend offers to clients with clarity and rigor.
- Develop a strategic understanding of client needs to strengthen the company’s market positioning.
- Prepare projects for launch:
- Verify input data (requirement maturity, technical feasibility, timeline constraints).
- Structure project organization (phases, work packages, responsibilities, workload planning).
- Validate budget commitments and associated tracking tools.
- Organize project documentation (internal, legal, contractual).
- Coordinate industrial projects:
- Manage projects holistically: planning, quality, costs, and deadlines.
- Coordinate activities with internal partners and subcontractors.
- Maintain close tracking of client requirements throughout the project.
- Manage risks and implement corrective actions for any deviations.
- Structure and evolve pre-sales practices:
- Actively contribute to developing tools, templates, and methods for bid responses.
- Leverage lessons learned to continuously improve competitiveness.
- Align commercial objectives with operational capabilities.
- Eventually, participate in coordinating the pre-sales team and ensuring its smooth operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in industrial project management or technical business development.
- Strong background in responding to RFPs in manufacturing or mechanical environments.
- Excellent understanding of project challenges, quality, and customer service.
Skills
- Technical:
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Excel, etc.).
- Solid understanding of industrial processes, blueprint reading, and manufacturing constraints.
- Experience in subcontractor management, costing, and budget development.
- Fluent in French and English (written and oral).
- OIQ certification is an asset.
- Interpersonal:
