About the Role
Good Shepherd Hospice is a member of Catholic Health and an integral part of the Diocese of Rockville Centre's health care ministry. The Pastoral Care Chaplain plays a crucial role in offering spiritual support to patients and their families, focusing on quality of life and symptom management.
Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual support to patients and families facing end-of-life care
- Offer comfort and guidance during times of grief and loss
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure holistic care
- Travel to patients' homes to provide pastoral care
- Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance chaplaincy skills
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility through NACC, APC, or NAJC
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college
- Graduate-level theological degree from an accredited institution
- Four units of CPE accredited by ACPE
- One year of experience in chaplaincy
- Professional membership in a relevant association
- Ability to travel to patients' homes

Pay
The salary range for this position is USD $32.00 - USD $35.00 per hour, reflecting a competitive compensation package that includes a variety of benefits and opportunities for growth within the organization.
