Chaplain- Home Hospice (Per Diem- as needed)

About the role

Works in collaboration with the Home Hospice (out in the community) teams assessing and addressing spiritual care needs of patients and caregivers. May also be asked to provide coverage in the inpatient center in Mount Joy. Must be able to complete 6-8 weeks of a full-time, day shift orientation. This position covers Lancaster, York, and surrounding counties.

Schedule

• Per diem (as needed)
• Minimum 2 shifts per month
• 1 holiday per year
• 4 weekends per year

Qualifications

• M.Div. or equivalent from an accredited college or university is required
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) required
• Ecclesiastical endorsement and ordination or commissioning to function in the ministry of spiritual care by a recognized faith group is preferred but not required
• Board Certification through Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or through the Spiritual Care Association (SCA) is required within 5 years of hire
• Must be vaccinated for influenza or be granted a religious/medical exemption
