Description

Serves as spiritual care specialist providing spiritual, cultural, emotional and relational care to patients, their family members and organizational staff. Provides education and mentoring.

  • Performs and documents spiritual visitation, worship services and outreach.
  • Participates on hospital committees and community boards.
  • Provides staff support around crisis intervention, trauma, stress and ethical issues.
  • Teaches classes and in-services designed to educate and provide therapeutic assistance to students, patients, family, staff and the community.
  • Participates in an interdisciplinary approach to spiritual care and patient health.

Requirements

  • Master of Divinity degree or equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Satisfactory completion of four (4) units of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) CPE.
  • Ordained or in the process of ordination or member of a religious vocation and have denominational endorsement.
