Chaplain
About the role
The Chaplain is responsible for providing emotional, social, and spiritual services to program participants, clients, and families at Haven of Hope, Red Shield Family Residence, and Eliza Shirley House. Duties include planning and delivering pastoral care services, leading devotional times, and collaborating with staff to support program participants.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program staff to engage and build relationships with participants
- Deliver spiritual programming such as Bible study, prayer meetings, and Celebrate Recovery
- Engage program participants during outreach events and collect attendance statistics
- Identify and address religious concerns of program participants and the community
- Assist with seasonal community assistance as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a ministry position
- Comfortable engaging and evangelizing with the community
- Valid PA Driver’s License
- Mandated Reporter training and clearances required
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Professional attitude and ability to solve problems
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
