Job Summary

At Brighton/Suncrest Hospice, we aim to enhance hospice care in your area through increased staff-to-patient ratios and clinical visits. We are CHAP certified and seek individuals committed to high-quality care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide spiritual support, guidance, and resources to patients and their families.
• Offer compassionate services to a diverse population representing various faiths.
• Reflect the hospice's mission and philosophy.
• Assess spiritual needs and ensure appropriate services are provided.
• Serve as a liaison and support to community chaplains and spiritual counselors.
• Maintain accurate records of spiritual care services.
• Attend patient care conferences and interdisciplinary group meetings.
• Supervise spiritual care volunteers when assigned.
• Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement teams.

Requirements

• Certificate or degree from an accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv or equivalent).
• Master’s degree preferred.
• One year of chaplain experience preferred.
• Experience working with death and the dying.
• Comfortable in inter-faith settings.
• A minimum of 3 units of CPE; MDiv or Masters in Theology required.
