Job Summary
At Brighton/Suncrest Hospice, we aim to enhance hospice care in your area through increased staff-to-patient ratios and clinical visits. We are CHAP certified and seek individuals committed to high-quality care.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide spiritual support, guidance, and resources to patients and their families.
- Offer compassionate services to a diverse population representing various faiths.
- Reflect the hospice's mission and philosophy.
- Assess spiritual needs and ensure appropriate services are provided.
- Serve as a liaison and support to community chaplains and spiritual counselors.
- Maintain accurate records of spiritual care services.
- Attend patient care conferences and interdisciplinary group meetings.
- Supervise spiritual care volunteers when assigned.
- Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement teams.
Requirements
- Certificate or degree from an accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv or equivalent).
- Master’s degree preferred.
- One year of chaplain experience preferred.
- Experience working with death and the dying.
- Comfortable in inter-faith settings.
- A minimum of 3 units of CPE; MDiv or Masters in Theology required.
